- Story behind the Business -

The idea was initially born from my travels to Indonesia in 2015, where i was volunteering at a Wildlife Rescue Centre in Cikananga, West Java, Indonesia. I was inspired by the organisation's genuine dedication to rehabilitating rescued animals from the illegal wildlife trade, with the goal of releasing them back to the wild.

Eventually, i started drawing some of the animals there and envisioned using the designs to raise funds to support them. I have since revisited the organisation in 2017 and spent my time over the years completing a degree in Wildlife and Conservation Biology and volunteering with various organisations abroad and in Australia, steadily nurturing my passion to protect the Earth that i love.

All the while, the idea to do something with my drawings was simmering somewhere in the back of my mind. Ironically, i became as busy as ever (life with a toddler) and finally made time (albeit very slowly) for the project to come to fruition. The idea has since grown into supporting other grassroots organisations that are dedicated to the cause of environmental conservation.

My drawings are an expression of the intricacies in complex patterns that i love to witness in all things. Patterns are extraordinary, a very representation of our interconnectedness - i am constantly in awe of the exquisite patterns that can be found literally in everything - the oozing swirls of morphing rocks,  the poetry left behind by caterpillars on scribbly gum bark, the geometric patterns of a butterfly's eye, the smooth pink wrinkles on earthworm skin... everything!

- Vision -

As a solo-run small business at the beginning of this venture, there are hopes to create new designs from time to time with profits allocated to varying organisations in need of support.

Everything is Connected  will aim to learn and grow as an intersectional business,  acknowledging that the environmental movement is deeply entwined with racial and social justice movements. I acknowledge that this business profits off stolen Indigenous land, and thus will aim to fund more Indigenous grassroots organisations in future endeavours.

First Nations peoples have ALWAYS been at the forefront of environmental conservation and as traditional custodians, hold important knowledge on living in deep reciprocity with the land.
